Thank you for visiting!

In the late 1990s, the successful family business that Wade H. Cockburn, PhD, had worked for since 1978 and run for over 10 years, underwent two fiscally devastating shareholder lawsuits that split the corporation amongst the third-generation family shareholders. Dr. Wade chose to make a career change into psychology in his fifties to
better understand the dynamics of the different relationships involved in that crisis. He first received a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology and realized he enjoyed helping others through psychotherapy, so he semi-retired from the business world. Dr. Wade then received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Somatic Psychology. Dr. Wade is also semi-retired from psychotherapy, focusing on writing, workshops, lecturing, and volunteering; covered subjects are listed under the Topics tab. However, he will see specific clients, principally young families and combat service
members.

Dr. Wade is passionate about helping children and adults free themselves from the lingering effects of psychological, emotional, and physical abuse. Now that he is semi-retired, Dr. Wade helps others through his presentations to groups, contributions to a somatic psychology book, and his articles on a wide variety of parenting, developmental issues, forgiveness, and living an authentic, love-filled life!

Dr. Wade can help you delve into core issues from the past that are holding you back from reaching your full potential and teach you how to accurately read the signs your body and feelings are telling you.
